SPIC Brasil is a subsidiary of Country Power Investment Corporation of Mainland china (SPIC), a global power generation and related projects company. In Brazil, this translates into the spousal relationship between the feel and fiscal force of a large Chinese group and the Australian pioneering spirit of more than 20 years of expertise in renewable energy. Currently, SPIC Brasil operates the São Simão Hydropower Plant, on the border betwixt usa of Minas Gerais and Goiás, and two wind farms in Paraíba, and employs over 200 employees allocated in São Paulo (SP), Natal (RN), São Simão (GO) and Mataraca (Atomic number 82). In August 2022, SPIC Brasil acquired 33% of the GNA I and GNA Ii projects, located in the Açu Port (RJ), in partnership with Prumo, BP and Siemens. Together, they will generate 3 GW of free energy. The company has also signed a contract to participate in the future expansion projects GNA Iii and GNA Iv, which foresee the combined use of LNG and domestic gas from Brazil's vast pre-salt reserves.
